PINE BLUFF, Ark.- Prairie View A&M University men's basketball team dropped a Southwestern Athletic tilt at UAPB, Monday night, 63-55, at H.O. Clemmons Arena.
Â
HOW IT HAPPENED:
A first half that saw seven-ties, and 10 lead changes dictated a 34-31 halftime lead for UAPB.
Â
UAPB increased their lead to 12 (43-31) coming out of the break. The closet PV would get would be one point off a
Jeremiah Gambrell layup with 4:00 minutes remaining in the game.
Â
Relentless effort by the purple and gold crew kept the game in reach up until the Golden Lions went on a 6-0 run over the last minutes to play. The Panthers were scoreless the remainder of the contest closing out the game with the loss.
Â
Will Douglas scored a team-high 14 points and five rebounds.Â
Kyle Harding grabbed three rebound, two assists, five steals, one block and 13 points in the contest. Joining the double-digit scoring group for the Panther forward
Yahuza Rasas Chipped in 12 points and six rebounds.
Â
The Panthers continue league play when they return to the campus of Prairie View A&M to square off with Jackson State in a 5:30 p.m. affair.Â
