All Prairie View A&M starters reach base in 7-2 loss to Texas State

SAN MARCOS, Texas --Prairie View A&M got contributions from every part of their lineup, as all nine starters reached base safely, but the Panthers fell to the Texas State Bobcats 7-2 Tuesday.

Sophomore Kyle Carrick (0-3) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (16-24). Senior Zach Dews was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 1.1 shutout innings without allowing a hit, walking none and striking out two.

At the plate, the Panthers were paced by sophomore Jayden Williams, who went 2-for-3 on the day with an RBI. Senior Sebastian Coria put together a standout effort as well, going 2-for-4 with a double. Senior Alex Martinez also chipped in for Prairie View A&M, putting together one hit in four trips to the plate while adding an RBI.

HOW IT HAPPENED
