PRAIRIE VIEW, -- Prairie View fought back from a 1-0 deficit to take down Ark.-Pine Bluff 3-2 Friday (Sept. 22) at home at Lady Panther Soccer Field.
The victory improved Prairie View's record to 1-6-0 overall and 1-0-0 in SWAC play.
How it Happened
Ark.-Pine Bluff broke the 0-0 tie when Yiselle Bernal scored in the 27th minute.
The Lady Panthers responded to tie things up on a goal from Dahjah Lewis -- her first goal of the season -- in the 28th minute, assisted by Mya Sheridan.
Prairie View then broke the 1-1 tie on Lewis' 41st-minute goal, her first of the season.
The Lady Lions fought back to knot things up at 2-2 with a 66th-minute goal from Bernal.
Prairie View broke the tie and took a 3-2 lead on Sheridan's first goal of the season in the 83rd minute, assisted by Jada Davis. The match closed without another goal scored.
