JMU found itself down early 3-0, but fired back to grab a 7-3 lead with 7:06 remaining in the first quarter.Incarnate Word responded and went up 10-7 before the Panthers got on the scoreboard again on a 54-yard touchdown reception from to Adams to jump back in front 14-10.
Incarnate Word fought back to take a 26-14 lead before Prairie View A&M put a touchdown on the board to close the gap with 9:27 left in the third quarter and make it a 26-21 game. Prairie View A&M didn't score again in the game and Incarnate Word added 30 more points to finish off the scoring.
