MONTGOMERY, Alabama -- In a tightly contested league football game on Saturday afternoon, the Prairie View A&M football team was narrowly defeated by the Alabama St. Hornets with a final score of 9-6 in Montgomery, Alabama. The game played under sunny skies, saw both teams locked in a defensive struggle, reflected in the low-scoring nature of the contest.
The Panthers displayed resilience throughout the game. They started strong, tying the game at the end of the first quarter and subsequently taking the lead in the second quarter thanks to two successful long-range field goals by special teams player Garcia Rodriguez Guillermo, hitting from 50 and 45 yards respectively.
