HOUSTON, Texas -- Junior Cailin Massey (1-4) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (4-11) and took the loss. Senior Breanna Reyna was a bright spot for the Panthers, coming out of the bullpen and throwing one shutout inning, allowing one hit.
Senior Jaylyn Davis led the way offensively for the Panthers, going 2-for-3 in the ballgame. Junior Tamera McKnight furnished a standout performance at the dish as well, going 2-for-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M managed one chance with runners on third in the shutout, going a total of 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position. The Panthers last got a runner on third in the seventh, when sophomore Kamya Brown made it 60 feet away from scoring with nobody out.
