The women's volleyball team is back on the road to participate in the Alabama State Tourney in Montgomery, Alabama. Over the weekend, the team will face three teams over three days. The schedule is as follows:
- September 5: vs Alabama at 3:00 pm
- September 6: vs Arizona at 3:00 pm
- September 7: vs Alabama State at 1:00 pm (East SWAC school)
Going into the tournament, the team has a few key players to watch: SWAC Offensive Player of the Week
Kylee Owens leads the team in digs (44) and kills (43),
Kiersten Atkinson leads in blocks (12), and
Leah Lawson leads in assists (74) and aces (4).
This will be the Lady Panther's first match-up against Alabama and Arizona, whereas the game against Alabama State will be the first SWACÂ team they'll meet for the 2024 season. The team is looking to improve and return with a favorable outcome in this tournament.
