BOX SCORE 2 HOUSTON, TX — The Prairie View A&M Panthers faced a tough challenge in their latest intercollegiate tennis match on Sunday January 26, 2025, against the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders. Despite a fierce effort, the Panthers were unable to secure a win, closing the day with a 0-4 loss in Houston inside the Evelyn Rubenstein JCC Boniuk Tennis Center for doubleheader action.
The standout singles matches saw Panthers players struggling against formidable opponents. For Prairie View A&M, players like Ainara Vegal Rodriguez,
Yasmin El Fadilil, and Daniela Garcia fought valiantly but fell to Kseniya Ramanouskaya, Juliette Jalai, and Ana Veroux, respectively, with all matches ending at 6-2, 6-2. In doubles play, the pairs of El Fadilil and Vegal Rodriguez, as well as Ugochukwu and Cierra Garcia, faced stiff competition from the Islanders, losing with scores of 6-1 and 6-0.
The Panthers now stand at a current record of 0-5 for the season. As they look to regroup and focus on upcoming matches, the team remains determined to showcase their resilience and improve their performance in match two of today's doubleheader.

The Prairie View A&M Panthers' women's tennis took on the Texas AM-Corpus Christi Islanders in their second tennis matchup. Despite standout individual performances, the Panthers were unable to secure a victory, falling to the Islanders.
The match concluded with Texas AM-Corpus Christi securing wins in both singles and doubles categories. They emerged victorious with three singles matches won and two doubles matches in their favor. Prairie View A&M, on the other hand, didn't manage to secure a win in singles and lost both doubles encounters.
