PRAIRIE VIEW, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team earned a three-set win (25-15, 25-9, 25-12) against the UAPB Lady Lions Monday at home at Baby Dome.

The victory improved the Lady Panthers' record to 10-10 overall and 7-0 in SWAC play.

D'Mya Hill finished with nine kills on the day to lead the Lady Panthers attack. got eight digs from Tayler Ruffin to lead them defensively.

How It Happened

SET 1 | The Lady Panthers grabbed control of the set-one lead at 4-3 and held the lead the rest of the way to win 25-15. Prairie View A&M opened up its biggest lead, 10 points, to close out the set, collecting 15 kills along the way. Prairie View A&M also supplemented their offense with three aces in the opening set.

SET 2 | After their win in the first set, Prairie View A&M put themselves on the cusp of a sweep with a 25-9 victory in set number two. The Lady Panthers took control of the set lead early on at 2-1 and held the lead the rest of the way. Prairie View A&M opened its biggest lead of the stanza, 16 points, to close out the set. The Prairie View A&M offense also got a boost from five aces in the stanza.

SET 3 | Prairie View A&M finished off the match in a 3-0 sweep after taking the third set. The Lady Panthers led from the first point on in the set to secure a 25-12 victory. Prairie View A&M ended on a high note, claiming its biggest lead, 13 points, to finish off the set. The Prairie View A&M offense also got a boost from three aces in the stanza.
