HOUSTON, TX --The Prairie View A&M volleyball team stormed back after losing set one to secure a 3-1 victory (23-25, 25-20, 25-7, 25-22) over the Texas Southern Lady Tigers Thursday on the road at Health & Physical Education Arena.
The conference win improved Prairie View A&M's record to 8-10 overall and 5-0 in SWAC play.
The Lady Panthers offense was paced by Kylee Owens, who finished with 22 kills on the day while accumulating a hitting percentage of .34. D'Mya Hill added 12 and Iyonna Sherwood chipped in with 10 as part of balanced Prairie View A&M attack. got 20 digs from Leila Smalls along with six blocks from Adlene Jideofor to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Lady Panthers dropped the first set 25-23 despite a solid performance on the attacking end. Prairie View A&M registered a .343 attack percentage with 15 kills in the set loss.
SET 2 | Prairie View A&M rallied from a first-set loss to take set two 25-20, evening the match at 1-1. The Lady Panthers never trailed by more than five points and grabbed the advantage for good at 9-8 in a set that showcased three lead changes before the Lady Panthers took over the lead.
SET 3 | Prairie View A&M built on that second-set success with a victory in set number three to open up a lead at two sets to one. The Lady Panthers led from the first point on in the set to secure a 25-7 victory. Prairie View A&M opened up as much as an 18 point lead at 24-6 before closing out the set, collecting 15 kills while only committing one attack error in the process.
SET 4 | Prairie View A&M ended the match with a 25-22 fourth-set victory, winning their third set in a row. The Lady Panthers took the lead for good at 23-22 in a set that featured 10 ties and six lead changes.
