Panthers Complete Day 2 at the Colonial Classic

The Prairie View A&M Panthers participated in the Colonial Classic bowling tournament on November 21, 2025, in Harahan, Louisiana at Colonial Lanes. The team competed over two days.

On Friday, under the Baker format, the Panthers faced a series of matches. The day began with a loss to North Carolina A&T, where they scored 764 against 905. They continued against FAMU with a score of 782 to 839 and then Wichita State with a score of 719 to 1016. Subsequent games were challenging, with losses to Texas Southern (791-898) and a rebound against the University of Alabama at Birmingham (951-781).

Saturday featured the traditional format, where the Panthers faced another set of opponents. The day opened with a loss against Louisiana Tech, with Prairie View A&M scoring 834 to Louisiana Tech's 1016 and 697 to Vanderbilt University's 1139. Despite these efforts, the Panthers finished the remaining of their games against Tulane (886-1025), Sam Houston (768-939), and Duquesne (853-958).

Individually, Miranda Fuentes led the Panthers with an average of 175.20 pins and a total of 876, followed by Chandler Townsend, Nevaeh Brown, Caroline Lewis, and Skylar Alexander, who all played pivotal roles throughout the tournament. The Panthers look forward to their next challenge, the SWAC West Round Up, hosted by Prairie View A&M from January 16-18, 2026, in Humble, Texas at Max Bowl.
