The Prairie View A&M Panthers women's bowling team encountered strong competition at the Bulldog Classic held in Fort Worth, Texas at Cityview Lanes on November 8, 2025.
In their series of games, the Panthers first squared off against Alabama State, scoring 891 to Alabama's 982. Following this, they narrowly missed a win against Oklahoma Christian with a score of 873 to 874. The team continued as they faced Wichita State, scoring 891 against Wichita's 956. In their subsequent games, they were defeated by Tulane and Nebraska with scores of 928-1042 and 902-941 respectively.
Highlighting individual achievements, freshman
Nevaeh Brown stood out with a 994 series, marking the high team average of 198.8. Senior
Miranda Fuentes also demonstrated strong skills, achieving a 931 series with an average of 186.2. Both sophomore
Chandler Townsend and freshman
Nevaeh Brown tied for the high game score of 226, showcasing the emerging talent within the team.
The Panthers look forward to the opportunity to rebound as the Bulldog Classic continues. They will compete in the final day of the event on November 9, 2025, hoping to turn the tide in their favor with improved performances.
