Men's Basketball Get Set to Face South Dakota in their First Meeting

VERMILLION, S.D - Prairie View A&M men's basketball hits the road this weekend for a non conference match up against South Dakota, with the two programs meeting for the first time. Tip off is set for 1:00 pm Saturday, December 13 at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

The Panthers enter the contest looking to make an impact in their first-ever meeting with the Coyotes. Prairie View has leaned on Tai'Reon Joseph to power the offense, as he leads the team with 21.2 points per game. Cory Wells has been the Panthers' top presence on the glass, averaging 5.7 rebounds per contest.

Dontae Horne does a bit of everything for Prairie View, leading the team in assists at 2.9 per game while also topping the Panthers in steals with 2.7 per outing. His defensive activity has been a key factor in Prairie View's ability to create transition opportunities. Joey Madimba anchors the interior defense, pacing the team with 1.0 blocks per game.

Saturday's match up offers Prairie View A&M a chance to set the tone in a new series and continue building momentum in non conference play.
