PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — Prairie View A&M University women's basketball standout Crystal Schultz has been named the SWAC Player of the Week following a pair of impressive road performances against Lamar University and Texas A&M.

Schultz led the Panthers in scoring in both contests, totaling 51 points over the two-game stretch. She opened the week with a season-best 27-point effort at Lamar, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and knocking down 7-of-12 from three-point range in 35 minutes of action. She followed that performance with 24 points at Texas A&M, connecting on 5-of-10 from beyond the arc and going 5-of-6 at the free-throw line while playing all 40 minutes.

Across the two games, Schultz shot efficiently from long range, finishing 12-of-22 (.545) from three-point territory, while showcasing her ability to perform under pressure against strong non-conference competition. In addition to her scoring output, she contributed rebounds, assists, steals, and defensive effort on both ends of the floor.

Her consistent scoring, perimeter shooting, and leadership on the road played a key role in Prairie View A&M's competitive outings and earned her conference recognition.

Schultz and the Panthers will return to action as they continue non-conference play before opening SWAC competition later this season.
