GRAMBLING, LA --Braelon Bush scored 20 points and Tanahj Pettway had 12 more, but the Panthers fell to the Grambling Tigers 70-48 on the road Monday.
Bush led the Panthers (4-22, 3-10) with 20 points. Pettway added 12 points and six rebounds and Jordan Tillmon chipped in as well with 12 points off the bench.
Led by Pettway's three offensive rebounds, Prairie View A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 10 boards that resulted in four second-chance points.
How It Happened
After falling behind 10-6, Prairie View A&M went on a 6-0 run with 12:16 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Tillmon, to take a 12-10 lead. The Panthers then surrendered that lead and entered halftime down 27-26.
Prairie View A&M came out of halftime clicking on all cylinders, going on a 5-0 run, finished off by Pettway's three, to seize a 31-27 lead with 18:17 to go in the contest. Grambling re-asserted control, outscoring the Panthers 43-17 the rest of the way to hand Prairie View A&M the 70-48 loss. Prairie View A&M shot well from three-point range in the half, hitting four shots from deep to score 12 of its 22 points.
