NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Prairie View A&M Panthers men's golf team concluded their participation in the 2025 Gulf Coast Collegiate Tournament Monday and Tuesday, facing tough competition in New Orleans, La. The Panthers, representing the collegiate grade level, finished 16th out of 18 teams in a challenging two-day event.
Key performances came from
Jacob Holloway who tied for 65th place with a score of 232 (+16), as he shot rounds of 82, 76, and 74 over the tournament.
Gage Gallo followed closely, tying for 72nd place, scoring 234 (+18) with consistent rounds of 79 and a final round of 76.
Kenneth Melendrez and
Jaden Thompson also contributed significant efforts, finishing +19 and +22 respectively over the par.
Daniel Cruz ended the tournament tied for 90th place, overcoming a tough second round to shoot a commendable 73 in his final round, ending at +26 overall.
With this tournament wrapped up, the Panthers look ahead to their next challenge at the Colin Montgomerie HCU Husky Invitational scheduled for March 3rd in Sugarland, Texas.
