COLLEGE STATION | BRYAN, TX -- Five pitchers combined to toss a shutout on Tuesday as the No. 19 Texas A&M Aggies blanked the Prairie View A&M Panthers 14-0.
Sophomore Demarques Thompson (0-2) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (4-13). Junior Trace Sanchez was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going one shutout inning without allowing a hit.
In the batter's box, the Panthers were paced by senior Lee Allen, who went 1-for-2 on the day with a walk.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Prairie View A&M did not advance a runner past second base in the game. The Panthers went 0-for-3 with runners in scoring position, last placing a runner as far as second in the seventh, when sophomore Michael Smith made it into scoring position with two outs.
