PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --Freshman Sonnier Moses went 1-for-2 with a triple for the Prairie View A&M Panthers in an 8-2 loss to the Texas A&M-CC Islanders on Wednesday.
Sophomore Corey Battey (0-1) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (6-16). Sophomore Marcus McMillan was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going 5.2 innings, surrendering three runs, two earned, on two hits, walking three and striking out four.

The Panthers were trailing 5-0 in the first inning when they first put runs on the board.
Moses came across to score the lone run of the inning for Prairie View A&M and get them on the board.
The Panthers kept the Islanders off the board before narrowing the gap further in the third.
Prairie View A&M scored once on an RBI single off the bat of senior Jayden Williams, which brought the score to 5-2 in favor of the Islanders. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as Texas A&M-CC added three runs to their tally on the way to an 8-2 final.
