BEAUMONT, Texas - The Prairie View A&M women's tennis team faced a challenging match against Lamar University on March 19 at the Thomspon Family Tennis Center. Despite their efforts, the Panthers were unable to secure a win, closing the day with a singles score of 0-6 and a doubles score of 1-2 against the opposing team.

In singles, Cierra Garcia stood out by pushing her opponent, Megan Do, in a closely contested set, ultimately falling with scores of 4-6, 4-6. This performance showed her resilience and determination in the face of tough competition. In doubles, Prairie View A&M's Ainara Rodriguez and Amaya Bobadilla captured a notable victory, defeating Savannah Bijlsma and Martina Alcaino with a convincing 6-2 win. This victory highlighted the day as both Bobadilla and Rodriguez showed commendable synergy and skill to clinch the win for their team.
