The softball team, holding a balanced 13-13 record and a strong 7-1 in SWAC, are set to face the Alcorn State University Braves in an away series on March 28, 2025. Under the guidance of head coach
Vernon Bland, the Panthers will challenge the Braves at their home campus in Lorman, Mississippi.
This series marks an important continuation between the two teams, in which Prairie View A&M has historically excelled, winning 20 of their last 27 encounters. The last confrontation in 2024 saw the Panthers secure a 4-1 victory over the Braves.
The upcoming series promises to be a thrilling affair with two games being played back-to-back at 2 PM and 4 PM on Friday, March 28, followed by a concluding match at 12 PM the following day. Each game provides an opportunity for the Panthers to further assert their dominance and improve their standing in the SWAC.
