Michaela Booker has named the SWAC Newcomer of the Week. This accolade comes following a commendable performance at the SMU Invite, where Booker showcased her talent in multiple field events.
At the SMU Invite, Booker secured a second-place finish in both the shot put and discus events, throwing impressive distances of 13.12 meters and a personal record of 41.00 meters, respectively. She also competed in the javelin throw, registering a distance of 29.26 meters. These results have not only highlighted Booker's individual prowess but also underscored the Panthers' strength in field events.
Booker's recognition as the SWAC Newcomer of the Week marks an important achievement in her collegiate athletics career, particularly as a freshman specializing in shot put, discus, and javelin.
