BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) announced its 2025 Preseason Predicted Order of Finish Wednesday, with Prairie View A&M University selected to finish third in the SWAC Western Division, earning 72 total points and one first-place vote in the poll of league head coaches and sports information directors.
The poll marks the first preseason projection under new head coach Tremaine Jackson, who was named to the helm of the Panthers program earlier this year. Jackson brings a dynamic and energetic leadership style to "The Hill," and inherits a team filled with potential and veteran experience.
"Our focus is on building a culture of consistency, discipline, and championship habits," said Jackson. "Preseason polls are a reflection of past performances, but our goal is to exceed expectations and compete at the highest level every time we step on the field."
The Panthers are looking to make a strong impression in 2025, beginning with the season opener against Texas Southern in the Labor Day Classic on August 30 at Panther Stadium.
