The Prairie View A&M Men's Golf team showcased skill and strategy at the Colonel Classic held at the University Club at Arlington on September 20-21, 2025. Competing against several schools, including Longwood, Eastern Kentucky, and others, the Panthers finished with a commendable fourth place.
The tournament unfolded over two days, structured into three intense rounds. On the first day, the Panthers played two rounds, where they started strong with 282 strokes and improved to 276 in the second round. This performance set a high standard and provided a solid foundation for the following day. In the third and final round on the second day, the team scored 291 strokes, summing up their total strokes to 857.
Among the standout players, Kolawole Abdu lead the Panthers. Tied for 10th, Abdu scored a total of 208 strokes, marking scores of 67, 68, and 73 across the three rounds.
Marshall Meredith also performed impressively, finishing tied for 15th with a score of 211 strokes across the rounds.

As the Prairie View A&M Men's Golf team wraps up their performance at the Colonel Classic, they already look forward to their next competition, the Bayou City Collegiate Classic in Houston, Texas, hosted by Rice University, to be held from September 29 to 30, 2025.
