Prairie View falls to Northwestern State 7-0

NATCHITOCHES, La. -- In a challenging game for the women's soccer team, Prairie View lost to Northwestern State 7-0 Thursday on the road at Demon Soccer Complex. The regular-season match ended with a 7-0 win for Northwestern State.

The loss dropped Prairie View's record to 1-7-1 overall.

How it Happened

The first half concluded with the Demons leading 1-0. The Panthers, despite their efforts, were unable to score, ending the match without any goals. Emily Senatore scored the game-winning goal for Northwestern State, with assists credited to Madison Murphy, Emily Mougia, Riley Stern, Bailey Porter, and Ravina Sandhu.

The Prairie View A&M goalkeeping was split between Nenah Jackson, who made two saves, and Ella Copenhaver, who added four more saves, yet the onslaught from Northwestern State proved overwhelming. The Lady Panthers registered four shots in the loss, two of them on goal. Prairie View faced 30 Northwestern State shots, 13 of them on goal.
