HOUSTON, TX - The Prairie View A&M Panthers delivered a commendable performance at the Bayou City Collegiate Golf Classic held at the Westwood Golf Course in Houston, Texas, on September 30, 2025. Under sunny skies and temperatures reaching 90 degrees, the team had another challenging day on the course.
The Panthers concluded the tournament with a total score of 940 over three rounds, showing marked progression with scores of 315, 318, and a notable improvement to 307 in the final round. Standout player Marshall Blake Meredith led the team, finishing T53 with an overall score of 226, which included rounds of 73, 77, and 76, demonstrating consistency and skill despite the day's intense heat.
Kenneth Melendrez also contributed significantly with a final score of 232, highlighted by an even-par 72 in the third round.
Kolawole Abudu and
Ethan Aleman added depth to the Panthers' efforts. Abudu shot a total of 241 with rounds of 75, 84, and 82, while Aleman's scores included an 87 in the first round but improved to 77 by the final round, totaling 243.
Gage Gallo rounded out the team's performance with a score of 258.
New head coach
