The 2026 Prairie View Invitational, presented by the Chancellor's Century Council – The Texas A&M University System, has been canceled due to forecasted winter weather in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. The event, scheduled for Jan. 23-25 at the ITRC in Arlington, was called off in advance as freezing rain and hazardous travel conditions were projected in the area.

With travel into and around the region expected to be impacted by ice, organizers opted to cancel PVI XV and all other related events scheduled for this weekend. This is to ensure the safety of all participants, families, staff, and spectators.

The Prairie View Invitational will resume next season in 2027.
