Prairie View A&M falls to Alabama A&M

PRAIRIE VIEW, TX --The Prairie View A&M offense put on a ball-movement clinic at home Tuesday, collecting 15 assists on 24 made shots, but the Panthers fell to the Alabama A&M Bulldogs 80-60.

The Panthers (8-13, 3-5) had three players score in double figures, led by Tai'Reon Joseph, who had 15 points and two steals. Dontae Horne added 14 points and four assists and Keeshawn Mason helped out with 11 points and nine rebounds.

Mason pulled down three offensive rebounds to lead the Prairie View A&M offense which grabbed 15 boards and turned them into five second chance points.

How It Happened

Prairie View A&M struggled out of the gate, falling behind 46-36 heading into halftime.

Alabama A&M kept widening its lead after intermission, constructing an 80-54 advantage before Prairie View A&M went on a 6-0 run, finished off by Joey Madimba's layup, to shrink the deficit to 80-60 with 2:20 to go in the contest, The Panthers were unable to cut further into the deficit by the end of the game, losing 80-60. Prairie View A&M took care of business in the paint, recording 16 of its 24 points in the lane.
