PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – Prairie View A&M University Athletics officially announced its complete 2026 football schedule, highlighted by a competitive non conference slate, a full SWAC lineup, and championship aspirations following the Panthers' 2025 SWAC title run.
The 2026 season opens on the road as Prairie View A&M travels to Tarleton State on Aug. 29, followed by the Labor Day Classic against SWAC rival Texas Southern on Sept. 6 in Panther Stadium on Blackshear Field. The Panthers will then face a Power Five opponent at Baylor on Sept. 12, before returning home for a match up with Stephen F. Austin on Sept. 19.
The Panthers will return to SWAC with a neutral site contest versus Grambling State on Sept. 26 in Dallas, Texas inside the Cotton Bowl, followed by trips to Mississippi Valley State (Oct. 3). Prairie View A&M returns home to host Southern on Oct. 10, before welcoming Alcorn State for Homecoming on Oct. 17 inside Panther Stadium.
The Panthers will close out the regular season with a mix of home and road conference matchups, including Alabama A&M (Nov. 7, home), Arkansas-Pine Bluff (Nov. 14, away), and Alabama State (Nov. 21, away).
The SWAC Championship Game is scheduled for Dec. 5, with the Celebration Bowl set for a later date (TBD).
Prairie View A&M enters the 2026 campaign as the defending SWAC Champions, led by SWAC Coach of the Year Tremaine Jackson and a roster featuring returning all-conference performers including 2025 Freshman of the Year Chase Bingmon.
