GRAMBLING, LA --Tai'Reon Joseph scored 21 points, but the Prairie View A&M men's basketball team fell to the Grambling Tigers 76-72 on the road Saturday.

Joseph added four steals to his 21 point game to lead the Panthers (5-9, 0-1). Dontae Horne helped out with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four steals and Lance Williams chipped in with 15 points and two steals.

Led by Keeshawn Mason's three offensive rebounds, Prairie View A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 13 boards that resulted in 12 second chance points.

Prairie View A&M forced 20 Grambling turnovers while committing 18 themselves in Saturday's game. The Panthers turned those takeaways into 15 points on the other end of the floor. Joseph's four steals led the way for Prairie View A&M.

How It Happened

After falling behind 24-19, Prairie View A&M went on a 5-0 run with 7:58 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Joseph, to tie the game at 24. Grambling then pulled ahead, sending the Panthers into halftime down 37-30.

Prairie View A&M narrowed its deficit in the second half, but could not get over the hump, losing 76-72. Prairie View A&M got out on the break in the period, scoring 18 fast break points.
