DAYTONA BEACH, FL -- Joey Madimba and Cory Wells each recorded double-doubles, but the Prairie View A&M men's basketball team fell to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats 82-76 on the road Saturday.

The Panthers (9-14, 4-6) had four players score in double figures, led by Lance Williams, who had 22 points. Dontae Horne tacked on 15 points and eight rebounds and Madimba helped out with a double-double off the bench with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

Led by Madimba's four offensive rebounds, Prairie View A&M did a great job crashing the offensive glass, pulling down 12 boards that resulted in 14 second chance points.

Prairie View A&M's defense held Bethune-Cookman to only 14.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

How It Happened

After falling behind 25-20, Prairie View A&M went on an 8-0 run with 7:31 left in the first half, culminating in a bucket from Tai'Reon Joseph, to take a 28-25 lead. Bethune-Cookman then responded to tie things up at 36-36 heading into halftime.

Bethune-Cookman broke the tie, taking control in the second half and winning 82-76. Prairie View A&M took care of business in the paint, recording 20 of its 40 points in the lane.
