Joseph, Horne Power Late Rally, but Panthers Fall 100–96 at Florida A&M

TALLAHASSEE, FL --  Tai'Reon Joseph poured in a game-high 32 points and Dontae Horne added 27, but a furious second-half comeback came up just short as Prairie View A&M dropped a 100–96 decision to Florida A&M on Monday night.

The Panthers (9-15, 4-7 SWAC) placed four players in double figures, led by Joseph, who also recorded two steals. Horne delivered an all-around performance with 27 points, four assists and four steals, while Lance Williams chipped in 10 points and two steals.

Prairie View A&M was active defensively throughout the contest, forcing 23 Florida A&M turnovers and converting those takeaways into 29 points. Horne spearheaded the effort with a team-high four steals.

How It Happened

The Panthers struggled to find their rhythm early, falling behind 56–34 at the break.

Prairie View A&M trimmed the deficit to 69–48 before igniting a 10–0 run that cut the margin to 69–58 with 12:30 remaining. The Panthers continued to apply pressure, capitalizing on 12 Rattler turnovers in the second half for 18 points, but Florida A&M held on down the stretch to secure the four-point win.
