LAKE CHARLES, La. --The Prairie View A&M Panthers struggled on Wednesday, falling to the McNeese Cowboys 16-1 despite the efforts of freshman Ryland Duson, who went 2 for 3 with a home run and an RBI.
Junior Ii Kelvin (0-3) started and took the loss on the mound for Prairie View A&M (4-15). Junior Oliver Brown was a bright spot out of the bullpen, going two innings, surrendering one run on one hit, walking none and striking out four.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers were trailing 10-0 in the second inning when they first put runs on the board. Duson put Prairie View A&M on the board with a one-out solo home run off sophomore Diego Corrales. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as McNeese added six runs to their tally on the way to a 16-1 final.
