Scouting Alcorn State

Alcorn State comes into the matchup at 13-27 overall and 1-14 in conference play but features several key contributors offensively. Rajayla McBride leads the Braves with a .333 batting average, while Yahnya Acevedo follows closely at .330 and serves as a catalyst for the offense. As a team, Alcorn State is aggressive on the basepaths, with multiple players posing stolen base threats.

In the circle, the Braves have relied heavily on Chiara Olison and Alainah Felton. Olison leads the staff in innings pitched (107.2) and owns seven wins on the season, while Felton has logged over 80 innings with a 5.02 ERA. Olivia Miller has also contributed in the pitching rotation. As a staff, Alcorn has surrendered a .300-plus opponent batting average, an area Prairie View A&M will look to exploit.
