PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — Dominance has become the standard for Prairie View A&M softball.
For the fourth consecutive season, the Panthers stand atop the Southwestern Athletic Conference Western Division, securing the division crown once again in 2026. Under the steady leadership of head coach Vernon Bland, Prairie View A&M has now completed an impressive four-peat, capturing SWAC West titles every year since 2022.
What began as a breakthrough championship run in 2022 has evolved into a dynasty.
"This team continues to raise the bar," said Bland. "Every year brings new challenges, new faces, and new expectations—but the commitment to excellence has never changed. I'm proud of how this group has competed and represented Prairie View A&M."
Throughout the 2026 campaign, the Panthers showcased the consistency and resilience that have defined their run with a 19-4 conference record. Whether at home or on the road, Prairie View A&M delivered in key moments—stringing together crucial wins in conference play and maintaining their grip on the top spot in the division standings.
The four-peat speaks not only to talent, but to culture. Prairie View A&M has built a program rooted in discipline, preparation, and belief—qualities that have allowed the Panthers to remain the team to beat in the SWAC West year after year.
With the division title secured, the focus now shifts to postseason play as Prairie View A&M looks to turn regular-season success into a championship run at the SWAC Tournament.
One thing is certain: the Lady Panthers aren't just winning—they're building a legacy.
