PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas --The Prairie View A&M Panthers struggled on Wednesday, falling to the Texas A&M-CC Islanders by final score of 14-4.
Basilio Williams (0-1) got the ball to start for Prairie View A&M (6-25) and took the loss.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Panthers got the scoring started early, putting one run on the board in the bottom the first inning with the game still scoreless. Prairie View A&M plated two runs off of Texas A&M-CC pitching, one of which was driven in on a run-scoring double off the bat of Ryland Duson.
The Panthers lost the lead they built in the first, but got back on the board in the fourth trailing 7-2. Prairie View A&M picked up two runs when a single from DeShon Middleton brought home Jordan Williams and Brandon Stinson, which tightened the Islanders lead to 7-4. The Panthers were unable to get any closer, as Texas A&M-CC added seven runs to their tally on the way to a 14-4 final.
