Prairie View A&M enters the 2026 women's soccer season looking to build on a conference finish that kept the Panthers in the middle of the SWAC race a year ago. After going 5-11-2 overall and 4-3-1 in conference play to place fifth in the league last season, Prairie View A&M opens a new campaign with a schedule that offers early home dates, a challenging road stretch and several important SWAC opportunities later in the fall.

The Panthers will play all home matches at the PVAMU Soccer Complex, and every home contest will be streamed on SWAC TV. That setup gives Prairie View A&M a consistent base early in the season, beginning with an Aug. 7 exhibition against Western Texas College before the regular-season opener Aug. 12 against the University of the Incarnate Word in Prairie View. The non-conference slate also includes home matches against Nicholls State, Houston Christian, Schreiner University and Texas A&M-Victoria, giving the Panthers multiple chances to settle into form before the conference race intensifies.

Prairie View A&M also faces a demanding run away from home in August, with trips to the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Aug. 20, Texas A&M Corpus Christi on Aug. 23, North Dakota State on Aug. 27 and the University of North Dakota on Aug. 30. That stretch should offer an early test of the group's organization and depth as the Panthers look to sharpen their identity before September conference play begins.

Among the major fixtures, the first SWAC matchup at Texas Southern on Sept. 4 stands out as an early measuring stick, while the Sept. 16 home conference meeting with Grambling State gives Prairie View A&M a chance to make an immediate statement on its own field. The Oct. 8 home match against Alabama State is another notable date on the conference calendar, and Senior Night against Alcorn State on Nov. 1 could carry postseason implications late in the regular season.

With a balanced mix of home matches and difficult road tests, the Panthers have a schedule that should reveal quickly whether they can rise from fifth in the conference and push deeper into the SWAC race. The regular season closes Nov. 5 at UAPB, but long before then, Prairie View A&M's progress should be visible in how it handles those key league dates and protects its home field in Prairie View.
