The Prairie View A&M Panthers have seen remarkable individual successes this season, highlighted by the recognition of four standout players who have been named to the All-SWAC Second Team. The honorees are instrumental in their respective roles, with goalkeeper Nenah Jackson, defender Emely Reyes, midfielder Emily Apodaca, and forward Niasia Goodwin each earning accolades for their performance on the field.

Nenah Jackson has distinguished herself as a formidable presence in goal, having been named both the SWAC Goalkeeper and Newcomer of the Week earlier this season. With a total of 78 saves, a save percentage of .703, and 3 shutouts, she ranks among the top goalkeepers in the SWAC. In acknowledgment of her contributions, Jackson has been recognized in the All-SWAC Second Team as a goalkeeper.

In defense, Emely Reyes has been reliable and effective, contributing 2 goals and 1 assist alongside perfect accuracy on her 8 shots on goal. Her defensive prowess and ability to contribute offensively have earned her a spot as a defender on the All-SWAC Second Team. Midfielder Emily Apodaca, known for her dynamic play, has managed to net 2 goals this season and played a critical role in midfield, securing her place on the team.

Leading the attack, Niasia Goodwin has been a key offensive player for the Panthers, being one of the team leaders with 4 goals this season including 1 game-winning goal. Her impressive track record of 9 shots on goal and a pair of assists led to her recognition as the SWAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week and subsequent placement on the All-SWAC Second Team as a forward.

Looking ahead, the Prairie View A&M Panthers are set to compete in the first round of the SWAC Soccer Tournament. They will face Alabama A&M on Thursday, November 6, at 1:00 PM, looking to capitalize on the momentum built by their standout players.
