Prairie View A&M's women's indoor track and field season was defined by record-setting performances, deep event coverage and one of the strongest statistical climbs in recent program history. By the end of the campaign, the Panthers had produced 26 new marks that landed in the program's indoor all-time top 10, a body of work that underscored both high-end talent and growing depth across sprints, middle distance, distance, hurdles, relays and the field events.
The headline achievements came from Sanai Kintchen and Nikiyah Wwilliams. Kintchen set a school record in the pentathlon with 3,766 points, then capped the postseason by winning the event at the SWAC Indoor Championships. Nikiyah Williams matched that standard of excellence in the 400 meters, where her 53.95 established another school record and carried her to a runner-up finish at the conference meet. Prairie View A&M closed the SWAC Indoor Championships in fourth place with 72 points, a result built around those podium efforts and a steady stream of scoring performances.
The Panthers also showed their speed throughout the short sprints and hurdles. Mikyah McDonald moved into the indoor top 10 in both the 60 meters at 7.47 and the 200 meters at 23.99. Nikiyah Williams added another top-10 mark in the 200 at 24.8, while Lashavia Barclay posted an 8.59 in the 60-meter hurdles. That sprint group also helped power Prairie View A&M's relay success, most notably in the 4x400 relay, where Treasure Bethea, Barclay, Kintchen and Williams clocked 3:47.38 to secure another place in school history.
Prairie View A&M's middle-distance group added major value to the season's overall profile. Treasure Bethea turned in top-10 efforts in three events, running 1:28.25 in the 600 yards, 2:16.37 in the 800 meters and 3:21.19 in the 1,000 meters. Nina Story followed with a 1:37.03 in the 600 meters and 2:14.51 in the 800, and Maya Clark contributed a 1:45.50 in the 600 and 3:21.24 in the 1,000. The distance medley relay also broke into the top 10 at 12:42.21, giving the Panthers another sign of their range across multiple disciplines.
The distance events brought more additions to the record book. Christina Fitzpatrick posted 10:50.22 in the 3,000 meters, 5:15.46 in the mile and 19:07.26 in the 5,000, while Meagan Meyers ran 11:00.98 in the 3,000 and 19:58.18 in the 5,000. Those marks helped extend Prairie View A&M's impact beyond the sprint-heavy events and gave the Panthers scoring potential across a much broader portion of the indoor lineup.
In the field events, the Panthers paired consistency with podium results. Jaliyah Gray cleared 3.06 meters in the pole vault, a mark that placed her third at the SWAC Indoor Championships. Michaela Booker reached 13.98 meters in the shot put, which also earned her SWAC Field Athlete of the Week early in the season. Kintchen added 13.73 meters in the shot put and 5.78 meters in the long jump, Kimora Maxey cleared 1.65 meters in the high jump, and Jada Stanford recorded 12.17 meters in the triple jump. Taken together, those performances showed a team that was not reliant on one event group to generate results.
The season's clearest takeaway was the scale of Prairie View A&M's progress. A fourth-place conference finish, two school records and 26 additions to the indoor top 10 gave the Panthers a postseason resume with substance in every event.
