The Prairie View A&M women's outdoor track & field team concluded the 2026 season with a strong showing at the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Outdoor Championships, placing fifth overall while producing numerous record-book performances throughout the season.

The Panthers continued to elevate the program's standard, recording 14 new marks that rank among the top 10 performances in school history across multiple events.

Leading the way was SWAC Outdoor Heptathlon Champion Sanai Kintchen, who delivered one of the top all-around performances in program history. Kintchen captured the conference title with a personal-best 4,937 points, the second-highest heptathlon score in Prairie View A&M women's outdoor track and field history. Throughout the season, she also etched her name into the record book in two individual events, posting a 14.11 in the 100-meter hurdles and a long jump mark of 6.08 meters, both ranking among the program's all-time top 10 performances.

The Panthers showcased their depth with standout performances across the track and field events. Mikiyah McDonald earned top-10 marks in both the 100 meters (11.47) and 200 meters (23.75), while Starrmia Dixon clocked an 11.79 in the 100 meters. Treasure Bethea recorded a time of 2:13.77 in the 800 meters, Nina Story posted a 4:49.25 in the 1,500 meters, and Christina Fitzpatrick ran 18:35.35 in the 5,000 meters. The Panther 4x800-meter relay team also earned a place in the program record book with a time of 9:25.20.

In the field events, Mariah Turner cleared 1.65 meters in the high jump, Yasmine Rogers recorded a 12.73-meter triple jump, Jada Stanford posted a 12.60-meter triple jump, and Jaliyah Gray cleared 3.21 meters in the pole vault, all ranking among the top 10 performances in school history. Meagan Meyers added a top-10 mark in the 5,000 meters with a time of 19:31.25, while Lea Murphy recorded a 12:13.91 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to enter the program record book.

At the SWAC Outdoor Championships, Gray added to the Panthers' scoring effort with a runner-up finish in the pole vault, while Kintchen's championship performance highlighted a successful conference meet for Prairie View A&M.

With a conference champion, multiple medal-winning performances, and 14 additions to the program's all-time top-10 list, the Panthers closed the 2026 outdoor campaign with continued progress and momentum as they build toward next season.
