PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas – The Prairie View A&M women's cross country team is set to compete in Houston, Texas, this Friday, September 11, taking on the course at the 50th Rice Invitational hosted on the campus of Rice University.
The Lady Panthers will challenge the 4,000-meter course at the Rice Intramural Fields, with the gun scheduled to go off at 6:20 PM.
Prairie View A&M comes into the meet aiming to build on a high-performing start to the season. Leading the way for the Lady Panthers is standout runner Lea Murphy, who produced an impressive third-place overall finish in last week's season opener. Her performance was recognized across the conference as she earned Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) Runner of the Week honors.
