Prairie View A&M men's golf will face a deep regional and national field at the Bayou City Classic on September 21-22 at Westwood Golf Club in Houston. Hosted by Rice University, the two-day tournament will test the Panthers against 15 other programs and give the team an early opportunity to build on a promising start to the season.

Joah Bramwell enters the tournament as one of the Panthers' key golfers after opening the season with a victory at the TheeiLove Collegiate Invitational. Bramwell finished that tournament under par, providing Prairie View A&M with an early individual title and establishing momentum ahead of the trip to Houston. Blake Meredith will also be central to the Panthers' lineup as a key team leader whose steadiness will be important throughout the event.

Westwood Golf Club will place a premium on course management over two days of competition. Bramwell's recent form and Meredith's leadership give Prairie View A&M two important pieces as the Panthers work to post competitive team scores.

The field includes Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, Houston, Valparaiso, UT Rio Grande Valley, Texas, UT Arlington, Rice, Sam Houston, Lamar, Samford, Texas A&M, Middle Tennessee State, Texas Southern and Abilene Christian. That mix gives Prairie View A&M a strong early-season measuring point against programs from across Texas and beyond. The Panthers will look to carry Bramwell's winning start into the Bayou City Classic while developing the consistency needed to contend through the final round at Westwood.
