FLOWOOD, Miss. - Prairie View A&M opened its season with a tournament title, shooting a 4-under-par to finish first overall at the TheeILoveCollegiate Invitational. Joah Bramwell led the Panthers with three rounds in the 60s and captured the individual championship at 8 under.

The event began September 7 in Flowood, with three rounds played through September 8. The Panthers broke par in each of their first two rounds, opening with a 2-under before improving to a 3-under in the second round. They closed with a 1-over to secure the win.

Joah Bramwell set the pace from the opening round. The individual champion started with a 3-under, followed with 2-under and finished with another 3-under. That produced a 54-hole total of 208 and an eight-shot score under par, giving Prairie View A&M the top player on the leader board as well as the winning team.

Blake Meredith gave the Panthers a second top-five finisher by tying together two strong closing rounds. After beginning with a 3-over, Blake Meredith moved under par with a 71 in the second round and closed with a 3-under 69. The late surge resulted in a 1-under 215 and fifth place overall.

Kolawole Abudu finished seventh at 2 over, giving Prairie View A&M three players among the top seven. Abudu opened with a 1-under, and improved to a 2-under in the second round before posting a 5-over in the final round. Abudu's 218 total helped sustain the Panthers' position near the top of the team standings.

The rest of Prairie View A&M's lineup added depth to the season-opening victory. Ethan Aleman finished tied for 18th at 8 over, Mahamed Ibrahim tied for 36th at 16 over, and Gage Gallo tied for 38th at 17 over. With Joah Bramwell winning individually, two more Panthers placing in the top seven and the team finishing below par in two of three rounds, Prairie View A&M left Flowood with a successful season opener.
