Bailee Hewitt, a sophomore outside hitter from Fort Worth, Texas, is majoring in Chemistry at Prairie View A&M. She previously attended Saginaw High School and was inspired to pursue volleyball by her elementary gym teacher, who sparked her interest in the sport.

Bailee's favorite all-time movie is Tangled, and she enjoys the comedic talents of Adam Sandler. Her favorite food is sushi, and she loves Halloween for its fall atmosphere and festive spirit. In her free time, Bailee enjoys playing with her dogs and spending time with friends.

Her passion for volleyball is driven by her competitive nature, which fuels her dedication and performance on the court. Bailee identifies mental health as one of the greatest challenges facing athletes today, recognizing the importance of maintaining psychological well-being.

One of Bailee’s most memorable moments in volleyball was achieving second place at nationals during her 18s season, a significant accomplishment in her sporting career. Looking five years into the future, she hopes to have graduated and be working in the field of forensics, with the ultimate goal of becoming a forensic scientist.

Bailee chose Prairie View A&M primarily for its vibrant culture, which resonated with her and made her feel at home.
