Prairie View A&M University Athletics

Jabarrek Hopkins is a senior defensive lineman at Prairie View A&M University, majoring in Community Development. Hailing from Greenville, Florida, he graduated from Madison County High School. One of his earliest and most memorable experiences in football came when he tried to play Pop Warner on the same team as his older brother but was too young—an experience that fueled his determination to pursue the sport.

On game day, Jabarrek centers himself with prayer, preparing mentally and physically for competition. Off the field, he enjoys reading and spending time with friends and family. His favorite movie is Incredible Hulk (2008), and he enjoys lasagna, salad, and garlic bread. He also looks forward to celebrating July 4th, a holiday close to his birthday.

Looking ahead, Jabarrek aspires to excel in his chosen career path while pursuing his dream of becoming a professional athlete. He chose Prairie View A&M for the opportunity to redefine a culture, build champions, and make history at PVAMU.
