Jason Hampton is a sophomore cornerback from Houston, Texas, majoring in Juvenile Justice at Prairie View A&M University. Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds, Jason brings a strong physical presence and skill to the defensive backfield. He graduated from South Houston High School, where his talent began to flourish.
One of Jason’s most memorable moments came when he received his first college football offer, a milestone that motivated him to keep striving for excellence. On game days, he prepares by blasting music to get energized and focused. He believes one of the greatest challenges athletes face today is maintaining good mental health amidst the pressures of sports and life.
Outside of football, Jason enjoys drawing and has a passion for creativity. His favorite entertainer is NBA YoungBoy, and his all-time favorite movie is Matilda. He especially looks forward to Halloween, enjoying the chance to dress up and celebrate. Chinese food is his favorite cuisine.
Looking ahead, Jason aims to advance in his career by moving up the chain of command, with his dream job being a federal agent. He chose Prairie View A&M because of its winning culture, the opportunity to play the sport he loves, and the chance to stay close to home.
