Cornelius Davis Jr. is a junior defensive back from Jacksonville, Florida. He graduated from Duncan U. Fletcher High School and is currently majoring in Criminal Justice at Prairie View A&M.
His favorite entertainer is DC Young Fly, and his favorite movie is HardBall. Cornelius enjoys pasta, chicken, and rice. He doesn’t have a favorite holiday.
In his free time, he likes fishing and playing games. Cornelius doesn’t have a specific gameday ritual but focuses on maintaining a “serial killer mindset” before each game to stay sharp.
He believes mental health is one of the greatest challenges athletes face today. One of his most memorable moments was in his last high school game before playoffs when he scored a touchdown, blocked a punt, and recorded 12 tackles—including one that knocked an opponent’s helmet off and broke it.
Looking ahead five years, Cornelius hopes to earn accolades, be a champion, and grow into a man who truly understands the game and life. Outside of football, his dream job is to become a detective.
He chose Prairie View A&M because of a coaching staff dedicated to greatness, and a coach with deep knowledge of the game who can help him become the best player possible.
