Rowdy Godwin, a redshirt junior tight end from Athens, is majoring in General Studies at Prairie View A&M. With a background that includes Athens High School, Sam Houston, Kilgore, and Trinity Valley, Rowdy is excited to continue his football journey with the Panthers.

His favorite entertainer is Lauryn Hill, and he enjoys the movie Get Rich or Die Tryin’. Rowdy loves oxtails and considers Halloween his favorite holiday for its college parties. His hobbies include playing chess, trading, and listening to music.

On game days, Rowdy’s ritual is to pray, helping him focus and prepare. He views recovery and financial stability as major challenges for athletes today. One of his most memorable moments was scoring the game-winning touchdown against Rusk.

In five years, Rowdy aspires to be a trillionaire and ultimately achieve a state where he doesn’t need a traditional job. He chose Prairie View A&M because he wanted to play for an HBCU and embrace the unique experience it offers.
