Sterling Roberts is a redshirt senior linebacker from Starke, Florida. A General Studies major at Prairie View A&M University, he graduated from Bradford High School.

His favorite entertainer is Bob Marley, and he enjoys any movie featuring Denzel Washington. His favorite food is ice cream, and he looks forward to the holiday season — especially Christmas and New Year — for the family time, great weather, and end-of-year reflection. His hobbies include playing PlayStation, shopping, and eating out.

Sterling’s gameday ritual includes staying hydrated with water and Liquid I.V.s, listening to music, and posting a “villain” on his social media to lock in for the game. He believes one of the greatest challenges for athletes today is staying focused on their goals — particularly earning a degree and playing for their team, not just themselves.

His most memorable football moment was a big win against West Florida during the 2024 season — a game that validated everything he and his team had worked for.

Five years from now, he hopes to give back to his community by coaching and helping young athletes better understand the game of football. His dream is to one day own a training center for athletes of all ages.

He chose Prairie View A&M to help Coach Jack and his staff turn the program around. After all they’ve done for him and the success they’ve shared, he felt it was only right to finish what they started together.
