Tristan Golightly is a graduate student, wide receiver at Prairie View A&M University majoring in Physical Education. Standing at 6’4”, 210 pounds, the Mesquite native is known for his size, athleticism, and playmaking ability. A graduate of Mesquite Poteet High School, he has built a reputation as a reliable target on the field, with one of his most memorable moments being his first college touchdown scored in front of his family.
On game days, Tristan follows a ritual of calling his mom, locking in with his playlist, and offering a pregame prayer. Away from football, he enjoys basketball, thrifting, and time indoors. His favorite entertainer is Rylo Rodriguez, his favorite movie is Black Panther, and he especially enjoys nachos. Christmas is his favorite holiday because it gives him the chance to spend quality time with family and friends.
Looking ahead, Tristan aspires to leave a lasting mark at Prairie View A&M by being remembered as a positive influence and teammate. His ultimate dream is to play in the NFL, but he also sees coaching as a fulfilling way to inspire and impact the next generation of athletes. He chose Prairie View A&M after being welcomed with genuine support and honesty from the coaching staff, which made both him and his family feel at home.
