BEAUMONT, Texas – Prairie View A&M dropped a non-conference matchup to Lamar on Wednesday by a margin of 11-1 at Vincent-Beck Stadium.

Lamar opened the game with a first inning run but PV tied it in the second on Darryl Johnson's RBI.  The Cardinals countered another run in the bottom frame and broke the game open over the next four frames with a total of nine runs.

The Panthers struggled offensively as they tallied only two hits.  Senior Kellen Simmons fell to 0-2 on the season in 2.2 innings of action.
